H&R Recrutement, recruiting firm for hotels, restaurants France and Worldwide, is currently seeking for his client:

The company:

Traditional French-Belgian  Bistro ( multi awarded restaurant and Chef) located in Washington, DC, welcomes you in a warm and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is always busy and generates between 120 to 170 covers/day. It is open for lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends, 7 days/week.

Schedule: Full day, 2 days off a week, successive or not
Accommodation: Available within first days of entry in the USA
Contract: 2 to 3 year Visa depending on the Experience
Benefits: 50% off of the  Health Insurance Plan taking care by the Restaurant
Wage: 52 000€ brut *year ($55 000/year)


• Apply the restaurant’ procedures at all times and is in charge of the restaurant when the Chef/ owner is off
• Inventories and Cost control savvy
• Solid technical skills and culinary knowledge
• Manage the cuisine and its production, responsible for the « daily specials » creation
• Responsible for a team of 8 team members
• HACCP, sous vide certificates
• Familiar with the ratios, « food bible » and data sheets
• Proactive in every aspects of his(her) daily tasks
• Creative
• Artistic fiber
Skills and Knowledge :
•    Motivated
•    Creative and Detail oriented
•    Used to work under Pressure and in renowned establishments
•    International Background is highly recommended
•    English (mandatory), Spanish (great asset)
•    Team Player and Born Leader
•    Legally authorized to work in the USA or had a media exposure to help obtain a visa ( TV, radio interventions, press, etc)
